(To)Day in the life.

I could probably do for some cut-backs in the sleeping department, but as of yet I see no reason.

As summer oozes out between my fingers. Sultry summer days. God I'll miss it though. Just when I was getting used to being barefoot, sleeping until I'm done with my dreams, cooking because I want to make my own food, and running around with my non music major friends because there's all the time in the world. Night into day as an endless reel.

Tomorrow we are taking a family trip to New York City in lieu of a beach trip. We will see "The Producers" on Broadway, spend the night in the city and drive back the next day. I'm excited! I'll be visiting a friend who lives in Manhattan and do some crawling around greenwich villiage.

The other day I spent in Old Town, it was about to storm, and I was sitting on the docks. The sky was gray, the docks were gray, the air was gray, the people were gray, my smoke was gray, the water was gray. Everything was gray. And the pigeons were like little flying answer-keys, they had every shade on their small feathery bodies. They were the palette of gray, strutting circles by my feet. Urban peacocks. Next time I'll bring them something more edible than ash.
